The Government House

In 1924-1927, construction of several big government building was planned in the budget of Baku.In 1934 , the Soviet authorities announced a tender for construction of Baku Soviet Palace (later renamed to Government House).The competition was won by well known architects Lev Rudnev, V.O.Munts and K.Tkachenko.







 With some alterations to the project, the building of the Government House was built in 1936-1952.Construction of this building led to construction of Lenin Square (later renamed Azadlig Square) in front of the Government House.


 In 1955, a monument to Vladimir Lenin facing Azadlig Square and sculpted by D.M.Garyagdi was installed in front of the building.In addition to this, a large complex of buildings around the Government House was built in 1960-1970s which included hotels "Azerbaijan" and "Absheron", 16-story buildings on Uzeyir Hajibeyov street, building of Azerpocht Lenin`s statue was later removed during the Azerbaijani independence movement in the aftermath of bloody Black January and Lenin square was renamed Azadliq square (freedom square)

In 2006, the government of Azerbaijan started renovation works of the building and completed the project in 2010. $40.8 million AZN were spent  for reconstruction and enrichment of the park surrounding the building.



Being in the center of Baku, the Government House is among the mostly visited tourist attractions of Azerbaijan.Currently, several ministries including Ministries of Culture and Tourism?Ministry of Agriculture,Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, State Procurement Agency and Copyright Agency of Azerbaijan Republic occupy the building offices.

All tv channels` satellite is controlling from there.Also this building is providing service like restaurant.To this restaurant is coming only the rich people from property,social,fashionable level and tourists of this city.




Service is very expensive.But the most important service of this restaurant is that, from this building you can see the beautiful point of views of Baku in the night ,in the afternoon, in the morning.



The restaurant is servicing 24 hours.

The Baku White City


The Baku White city project was developed by the order of the Executive Administration of Baku City ,designed to create the new and modern centre  of the capital city.



To the decree of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev approving the "Plan of Integrated Action to Improve the Environmental Situation in the Azerbaijan Republic during the years 2006-2010" and in accordance with the order of the Head of the Executive Administration of Baku City H.Abutalibov dated 11 June 2007,it was decided to restore and develop the so-called Black City district of Baku,which will from now on be called Baku White City.



The area covering 221 ha will be totally transformed,while also altering and expanding the notion of a modern city centre as such.



The Baku White City aster envisages the creation of 10 universal urban districts with each of them to offer its residents the best living,working,recreation and entertainment conditions.In accordance with the order  of the Executive Administration of Baku city it is planned to rearrange and expand the boulevard,the gem of Baku that is situated right in the centre of the Baku Bay.The Oilers` avenue ,one of the most favourite streets of the people  of Baku that runs along the Boulevard will be made longer as well.



The modern centre of Baku will be different,thanks also to the new city transportation system.For instance ,it is planned to build a new Underground station that will give access right to the central square of Baku White City;it is also in the plan to expand the bus route grid and to run a tram  line along the whole coast. Also along the boulevard should run the all-new water transport line.

Baku-Azerbaijan- International Mugam Center Of Azerbaijan.


International Mugam Center of Azerbaijan is the center of Azerbaijani arts and music aimed promote preserve and popularize specific genre of Azerbaijani music Mugam.It is located in Baku Boulevard downtown Baku.



The mugam Center  was built on initiative of the First lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva Mugam is a genre included in the representative list of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.






The construction of the building started in April 2005.The center covers 7.500 square meters and has 3 stories.The funding was provided by The Heydar Aliyev Foundation.The design of the building was based on elements and shapes of Tar.


Azerbaijan musical instrument used in performing Mugam.The concert hall fits 350 people.The center has a club restaurant study halls and record studios.The official opening of the international Mugam Center took place on December 27.2008.The center hosts mugam festival concerts recitals of various singers and performers.




Baku-Azerbaijan-Park Bulvar


 Park Bulvar is a multi-story shopping mall located on Baku Boulevard,Downtown Baku,Azerbaijan.
The mall is located 5 minutes of walking distance from Sahil Metro station of Baku Subway and Government House of Baku.




 

The building has all architectural attributes of the East and modern art of the west.It consists of six floors,including two underground floors<the general area of the mall is 17.000 square meters.It also has a parking lot for 550 automobiles.

Baku-Azerbaijan-Baku SOCAR Tower.


SOCAR ( State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) Tower has been allotted in Baku`s Heydar Aliyev Avenue to construct a new building for the State oil company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).


 Leading companies of France,Italy,The UK,South Korea,Turkey and Azerbaijan were involved in Architectural designing and engineering of the building.


The Building is slated to be 149.4 metres high, 59.102 sq.m and to accommodate more than 2.000 employees.The Building will have 2 underground and 35 overhead floors.



Tekfen Construction signed a new contract of USD 235 million for the turnkey construction of SOCAR`s  new headquarter complex in Baku.starting in June 2010,the project is scheduled for completion within 32 month.
